I made this 15-slide powerpoint to introduce Homer's Odyssey to my 10th grade students. It includes information about the background and setting of the Odyssey (particularly the Trojan War) as well as an overview of the plot, characters, and cultural backdrop of the book. I have included speaker notes on each slide, which you can either read verbatim to your class or modify as needed. I've also included a slide (also included in the preview) which shows a map of Odysseus' journey, which I have found to be very helpful in my own classes.
